Biography

Main milestones leading to these days:

- 1976: lot of interesting thing happened in this year. Amongst others…I was born. I don’t mean to overemphasize this part of the story, so let’s jump a few years…

-1999: I was working for a small TV studio as a multifuncitonal human resource. One of the cameramen started to pick me with this photography stuff. He had been taking photos for years by that time. Well, he certainly succeeded. I took my first photo serie about my sister’s wedding. I liked it pretty much, so I decided on buying a previously used Konica FT-1 and a Konica Hexanon 50mm/F:1.8 lens attached. It was not a widely known model here in Hugary, so it was difficult to purchase lenses and accessories. At least I could buy a few in second hand shops and from abroad through the internet.

-2000: I was using Konica for a few months, but after I got to the point when I realized its weakness, and I was too addicted, I couldn’t quit. Hence the change to Nikon F80, with some regular zoom lens. It was a great leap forward, though. That’s why I am comitted to this brand, I suppose. Well, I was crazy and lost this camera…so I got back to the old Konica.

-2003: I gratuated on a course organized by a Hungarian photography magazine. My outlook on life, my attitude and the way I see, have changed a lot (hopefully to the right direction). I really needed a cool camera, so I obtained a Nikon F100. I changed from negs to color slides. I was totally impressed by Fuji Velvia.

- 2004: the year of my first individual exhibition (and so far, the only). I really enjoyed organizing this event. I got membership in Hungarian Birdlife Society. They’ve been still using my shots in their published materials.

- 2005: I was a member of an international scientific expedition in Ukraine as official photographer. Most interesting assigment so far. Again? Anytime! With pleasure! The same year I had the chance to go down to the Danube-delta. Got shocked again - it was so beautiful. If I correctly recall I could obtain my Sigma 120-300 F:2.8 in the same year. It will be buried together with me… I won’t ever sell.

- 2007: I had to rent a DSLR to be able to take a few photography jobs. It caused uncomfortable situations. I followed the only possible way - collected the money and bought a Nikon D200. I really love this camera. The same year I purchased a state-of-are lens, Nikkor 17-55 F:2.8…

This is where I am right now.
Anyway, I’ve graduated as an IT engineer.
